Manipur board declared class 10th results for the year 2019 exams

The results of class 10th have been declared by the Manipur Board. The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) exams were conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM). The board declared the results with a record pass percentage of 74.69% which is highest since 1973. The results were declared by the Manipur Education Minister Radeshyam Singh at the BOSEM office. The first position was bagged by the Bhumika Shamurailatpam from Pitambara English School. The second was shared by Sophiya Asem of Bright Career Academy and Arvind Maibam of Tiny Tots’ Unique School and the third position was bagged by Moirangthem Julendia Devi of St. Thomas School. I thank all the stakeholders who have made this possible”, the education minister said. “We were quite apprehensive that this time, the pass percentage may decline as the vigilance during the exams was stricter. We have not only cancelled all the private examinations centers but evaluation of marks was also conducted under video surveillance,” Kirankumar Singh, chairman of BOSEM, said. The pass percentage among the boys stood at 75.68 percent and among the girls the same stood at 73.72 percent. In terms of institutions, private schools outperformed government schools. The pass percentage among the private schools stood at 82.30 percent where as the same for the government schools stood at 73.39 percent.
