DU roped in NTA to conduct the entrance exam on its behalf



Delhi University has finally roped in National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the entrance exams for more than 180 courses. Mostly, these exams will be for the admissions to the various undergraduate courses offered by the university. There are 11 undergraduate courses for which admissions will be done on the basis of the entrance exams apart from MPhil, PhD and Masters programs. Vinay Gupta, dean of the examination said that exams will take places in three sessions each day to conduct the exams in a cheating-free environment, the university will use jammers and CCTV cameras. The exam will be two-hour long and will have 100 objective questions. For each correct answer, students will get 4 marks and for each wrong answer 1 marks will be deducted. For the questions left unanswered, students will be given 0 marks. Entrance exams for the DU are expected to be conducted from June 20-July 1. The university will release the final schedule soon on the official portal. Gupta further added, that students will be given first preference while allocating the exam center for the exam. The official answer keys will be uploaded within 24 hours of the exam and 48 hours will be given to challenge the answer key, he further said.
