CBSE asked DU to align its admission schedule according to CBSE’s timeline
CBSE in its recent letter to the DU has asked the registrar of the university to align the university’s admission timeline according to the CBSE’s timeline. CBSE wrote the letter to DU after some cropped up regarding the CBSE’s re-evaluation schedule and its possible impact on the DU’s process. According to the dates announced by the CBSE, the re-evaluation process will start on May 24, and according to the reports, DU is about to start its admission process in the near future. This has caused tension among the DU aspirants who are planning to apply for the re-evaluation. CBSE had announced the class 12th results way ahead of its schedule to facilitate the students in their undergraduate admission process. The board announced the results within 28 days of conducting the exams. This year, CBSE was also ahead of the ISCE who declare the results before CBSE every year. “The Delhi High court had asked all boards to finish the result process before the undergraduate admissions begin so there is no hassle about pending results and students being stuck,” a board official had said on May 2. In order to declare the results early, CBSE even moved its class 12th exam schedule up by a fortnight. “CBSE will be completing its re-evaluation process also at the earliest. Now, Delhi University has to fix the last date of submission of application form for admission in Delhi University in such a manner that the work of re-evaluation is over prior to the last date of Delhi University admission process,” the Board said in a statement.
