Goa Education Department urged schools to discourage the use of Tik Tok and PUBG among children
The education department of Goa has urged schools to discourage the use of apps Tik-Tok and PUBG among the students. The department said that these apps have already created safety and security issues among the children on the state. The education department also said that in time the action may of great value as it may help in saving someone’s life. The directions were issued following recommendations of the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. The circular also mentioned about calling Parents Teachers Associations meeting and warn the parents about the dangers of using these apps. Apart from the concerns raised about the addictive nature of the Tik Tok and PUBG apps, earlier in May, the Madras High Court had imposed a ban on the video sharing app in response to a petition. The petition has alleged that with the help of video sharing app Tik Tok it is easy to share pornographic content with the users. The ban, however, was later lifted.
